"Kebabs" are synonymous with Middle Eastern Cuisine. It gets its unique taste from the traditional way of cooking - on a bed of hot simmering charcoal or wood.
All sorts of meats are used to make kebabs and they are all... oh so delicious . Sadly I didn't have the time or the occasion to make them.
Wait, why am I giving a lecture on the history of kebabs when I have given a simple "No Cook" recipe ..????
It is really not a recipe and all it needs is plain assembling and arranging on a plate..:)
As simple as a smile..:) It is great for parties and entertaining dinners..
I am honestly trying to increase my intake of fruit everyday but laziness takes over me most of the time and I end up eating a cookie or a couple of crisps or drinking a cup of coffee ....
Now for the kebabs.... you can have it in miniature forms, say 2-3 pieces of fruit in a tooth pick. You can also grill them in a griddle for 2-3 minutes and serve it with honey drizzled on the kebabs or even better, sprinkle some chaat masala and a tbsp of orange juice.
The honey design in this yogurt bowl is by my daughter... very artistic through my motherly eyes..:)
You need:
Fresh large strawberries: 10-12
Fresh pineapple : quarter piece.
Fresh kiwi fruit: 4-5
Apple: 2.
1.Peel and remove the hard center of the pineapple. Cut the quarter into bite size chunks.
2.Peel the kiwis, remove the center bit of apples , wash and hull the strawberries.
3.Cut the rest of the 3 types of fruits into bite size chunks.
4.Thread them in skewers.
Serve with some thick Greek yogurt and honey.
