Hi friends,
It seems like a long time and I missed my blog and each and everyone of u.......wondering where I have been all these days!!!!!! I am in India now, got over my jet lag, getting adjusted to the summer and just finished my visits to all my relatives homes.
It feels so good to be in India after all those cold dull wintery days in UK but I must say it was enjoyable in its own league.
The scorching sun, the crowded shopping streets, tumbling hills of watermelons on roadsides, the sugarcane juice stalls, the fully covered ladies on two wheelers [me included], even the cows standing on the roads fills me with joy.
Oh!!!! How I missed all these little joyous things ......!!!!
Coming to the recipe, this is based on the classic cocktail "Bloody Mary" and its mocktail counterpart "Virgin Mary".
More importantly the inspiration was "The Indian Summer"- the sun, the heat and the colours that reminds me of summer.
It is Indianised to suit my taste and it is sure tasty.
Readymade tomato juice: 800ml.
Worcestershire sauce: 2 -3 tbsp.
Ginger powder: 1 tsp.
Chilli powder: 1 tsp.
Runny honey: 2 -3 tbsp
Cardamom powder: 1-2 pinches.
Asafoetida : 1-2 pinches.
Salt: to taste.
To garnish:
Ice cubes
Celery sticks
Mix all the ingredients together except the celery sticks and ice cubes and refrigerate until serving time.
Serve garnished with ice cubes and celery sticks either as individual servings or as a large pitcher.
Note: The asafoetida and cardamom are optional....I like this blend of flavours.

Now I am off to view all the recipes posted by my lovely blogger friends.......
Enjoy...
