Melons and ginger are a classic combination. Melons are valued for their diuretic, low sodium and anti oxidant properties. Melon cools the gut while ginger stimulates digestion and blood circulation. It helps the body get rid of toxins.
Apples, as we all know is an excellent source of soluble pectin which is a bowel regulator. These clever fruits don't just reduce cholesterol, they actually eliminate them from the body.
I have used honeydew melon, you can use whatever is at hand [galia /cantaloupe / watermelon].
Honeydew melon: 1/4 of the whole fruit.
Apple: 1.
Cinnamon powder:1/4 tsp
Ginger powder:1/4 tsp.
Honey: 1 tbsp.
1.Peel, remove the seeds of the melon and chop.
2.Core and chop the apples.
3.Blend the melon and apples until smooth.
4.Add the powders, a couple of ice cubes and whiz for 10secs.
5.Serve in tall glasses drizzled with honey.
If needed garnish with a sprinkle of ginger and cinnamon powders.
